No posting = no running
... okay -- I lied a little....... I've been running, a little. I've done a handful of 5k runs in the last few weeks -- and a 5k race on a VERY hot day after spending the day at Canada's Wonderland (Funnel Cake and Racing is NOT a good combination!).
This morning I woke up and did 4.7 km. As of Monday I officially begin my training program - Hal Higdon's 1/2 Marathon Program.
It's an intense 12-week program, and I'm a little worried about the push it's going to require to keep going (especially if it gets super hot again) -- but my plan is to start going to sleep earlier and to start getting up an hour early to run in the morning 3-4 days a week.
So here's the schedule until Monday:
Today: 5km -- completed
Tomorrow: Leisurely swim in the pool- 45 minutes.
Friday: 5km in the morning, pick bike up from repair shop in the afternoon.
Saturday: Day off -- though going Wedding Dress shopping with a friend so I suspect it will be a tiring day. Maybe a bikeride by the Lake.
Sunday: 8-10km in the morning ---- that is taking 2 hours to get out of the house goal is to run - but also want to do 30 minutes of hills at least at some point.
