Owwwwwwwwwwwwie!

Ran yesterday -- a moderate 3.5 km -- though I was running slightly faster than I would have preferred....

Today my left hip is killing me -- I don't know what's going on - but it hurts to walk.

I'm starting to wonder if this is a result of the new shoes -- which drives me insane because they're expensive...and felt awesome in the store....... what gives? It just seems like I've been suffering one ouchy joint after another.

I'm also getting sick. My sinuses hurt and I feel like they're going to explode. My focus today is hydration and good food. It's a non-running day for me, though I have a long-slow run planned for tomorrow early...... My plan is to go to bed early in the hopes of getting some rest and combatting this stupid flu.

  • If the shoes don't feel good - take them back before it's too late! They should feel as good during the run as they do in the store. Just because they're expensive doesn't mean that's the type for you. Try a different type. I really like saucony's...they had great support for trail running and I haven't sprained my ankle in years. So return the shoes and get another pair...you know what they say: "the only thing between you and the ground is your shoes!"

  • It's too late to return the shoes -- they have to be in "new or like new" condition.... meaning that they can't have been worn outside. Unless they're defective - in which case I could return them within 2 months.

Well -- I run outside, and while I was okay for the couple of runs it's too late now to return the shoes... :(
